Wheatley CE Primary School Local Governing Body
Wheatley CE Primary is part of an academy Trust - the Oxford Diocesan Schools' Trust (ODTS). ODST has a Board of Trustees which is responsible for setting the vision and direction for the Trust. It delegates some of its responsibilities to local governing bodies at individual school level to make sure that each school is well-supported according to its individual circumstances and needs.
Our local governing body members are a mix of people representing staff, parents, the local Christian community and others appointed by the Trust for their skills and experience. Our governors make sure the Trust's vision and direction are upheld. At a school level they are responsible for overseeing the school strategy, policy, budgeting and staffing. They enable our school to run as effectively as possible, working alongside the headteacher and senior leaders and supporting teachers to provide excellent education to our children.
