The school has required Special Measures since February 2017 however significant progress has been made and there is a relentless approach to ensure all aspects of the school improve enabling every child to thrive academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. The leadership team and members of the Transitional Governance Committee (TGC) work closely together to drive rapid and sustained improvement.
The school's Raising Achievement Plan (RAP) sets out the vision for the school and its strategy and priorities for the years 2018-2021 to achieve that vision. It also sets out specific actions for the year ahead in the form of a detailed operational plan.
The RAP is developed through robust discussion by and consultation with staff and governors and with consideration of parent and pupil voice. School improvement planning is driven by rigorous school self-evaluation using a range of data and evidence collected by the leadership team, governors and through external support. On-going self-evaluation may lead to an amendment of the plan throughout the year. The RAP also includes the school's response to the recommendations made in the last Ofsted report and subsequent HMI reporst from the monitoring visits.
The milestone document below sets out the key markers for this academic year linked to the three-year priorities for school improvement.
