Welcome to the Year 5 and 6 phase learning page. On this page, you will be able to find out what the children in Upper Key Stage 2 are planning to learn about this term. You will also be able to access key curriculum documents along with home learning resources that will enable you to support your child at home.

UPDATES:

  • 3rd April
    • You have been working so hard all term and especially over these last few weeks, so make sure you enjoy the Easter break and have fun together. Have a look at the activity ideas we hope you can complete.
    • Don't forget about the Easter bonnet challenge - keep an eye out for information from Mrs Fisher and Mrs Standing.
  • 27th March
    • It's been so lovely to receive emails from so many of you and see you all making the most of the sunshine. All the baking looks delicious!
    • Keep an eye on your dojo points!

    • Thank you so much to all of Year 5 and 6 for your maturity, flexibility and help during this tricky week - you have been amazing :)

School closure home learning:

Please see below work to complete at home. There is an expectation that children will complete one Literacy, one Maths and one Topic activity per day, however we do understand that this may not always be possible.

Feel free to complete the activities in any order, tick them off when you're done. We'd love to hear how you're getting on, or help if you get stuck, so please do email us!

 

We recommend setting a timetable for your day so that you can keep some routine while not at school. To help with this there is a visual timetable similar to the ones we use in school attached below.

Home Learning:

Don't forget about this!

  • Reading
    • Please read a minimum of 5 times per week. Try to read a range of genres.
    • Complete one task off your bingo grid each week. Get it signed off by an adult.
  • Maths
    • Practise your times tables and mental arithmetic as often as possible.
    • Complete one task per week. Remember to show your working and explain any answers.
  • SPAG
    • Complete one task per week. Be careful with your spelling and typing in any written answers.
  • Topic
    • Extended project to complete during the term. More information about this, including handing-in date, will be provided at the start of each term.
