Book Selection

Although there are literally thousands of books on the market, it can be quite difficult to find books that will suit your child. Some things you might consider are:

  • What genre does your child enjoy reading?
  • Their current reading skills - will the book be too easy or too hard to decode?
  • Are the books going to be for independent reading or sharing as a family?
  • Do you want to give them something new or stick to familiar stories/ themes?

To help you decide, we have found some useful websites that can support the book selection process.
