As part of our commitment to both the environment and healthy living, we are keen to encourage families to walk to school whenever possible. This helps to reduce traffic and congestion outside the school gates and builds physical activity into your day which in turn support mental health and wellbeing.
Walking to school brings with it an important opportunity to talk about and develop your child's awareness of road safety. Please click on the link below to access the Oxfordshire County Council's 'Walking with Children' web page and also the Footsteps leaflet - a guide to support parents and carers in teaching your child about road safety. There is also a link to Brake, the road safety charity.
