Late/Absence Procedures

Absence from School

We understand that, from time to time, a child will be absent from school due to illness or other reasons. Please call the school office on 01865 872366 as soon as possible and before 9am on the first day of absence, when you know your child will be absent from school. A message can be left out of hours.

When you contact the school, you will be asked about the reasons for absence. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the member of staff will ask you some questions to ascertain whether your child's absence may be COVID related. Asking these questions will help us to code your child's absence appropriately and provide the right advice and support.

If your child has sickness and/or diarrhoea, they are required for health and safety reasons to have 48 hours out of school after the last incident.

Registration and Punctuality

Please ensure your child arrives at school on time at their allocated drop off point. This will enable them to access the full educational offer at school and will support our ongoing COVID-19 protective measures.
