Every primary school is required to undertake statutory assessments as follows:
End of Early Years (Reception) - Good Level of Development
Year 1 - Phonics Screening Check
Year 2 - Phonics Screening Check for those who did not pass in Year 1
Year 4 - Multiplication test
End of KS2 (Y6) - Statutory assessment tests in reading, maths and grammar, punctuation and spelling. Writing is assessed by teacher assessment.
We are really pleased to share the Y6 SATs results from summer 2026:
73% pupils achieved the expected level or above in Reading, Writing and Maths combined (national average 63%)
88% pupils achieved the expected standard or above in Reading (national average 75%)
76% pupils achieved the expected standard or above in Writing (national average 73%)
88% pupils achieved the expected standard or above in Maths (national average 75%)
88% pupils achieved the expected standard or above in Grammar, punctuation and spelling (national average 74%)
