Y3/4 Cedar, Juniper and Poplar

Welcome to Cedar, Juniper and Poplar's learning page!

Welcome to the Year 3 and 4 phase learning page. On this page, you will be able to find out what the children in Lower Key Stage 2 are planning to learn about this term. You will also be able to access key curriculum documents along with  resources that will enable you to support your child at home. All home learning, and remote learning in the event of school closure, will be on Teams. Please speak to your child's class teacher if you need any support with this.

Home Learning:

Home learning is consistent throughout the year with an expectation for Reading and Maths each week as well as a termly project linked to an aspect of our wider curriculum.

  • Reading
    • Please read a minimum of 5 times per week. Try to read a range of genres. Parents, please message your class teacher on Dojo to let us know your child has completed the 5 reads for your child to be entered into the reading raffle and receive 5 dojos!
  • Maths
    • Practise your times tables using Times Table Rockstars or number fluency on NumBots. We ask for a minimum of 10 minutes each week, ideally a couple of minutes each day rather than in one block. Year 4s should focus on their times tables.
  • Termly Project
    • This is an extended project to complete during the term. More information about this, including handing-in date, will be provided at the start of each term. It will be generally be linked to one aspect of our wider curriculum e.g. Science, Geography, History.
