Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are currently running staggered drop off and collection procedures. These differ to our standard morning and afternoon sessions outlined below.
Our doors open at 8.35 am and we encourage a staggered entry to school as there are so many of us. The school day is officially as follows (children must be in class):
The school does not accept responsibility for children who arrive before 8.35 a.m. and stay after 3.30 p.m. (10 minutes before and after school). We do ask that children be on time for school which, for the younger children, means that parents must be punctual. Registration takes place 5 minutes after the morning session begins.
When you enrol your child at Wheatley, you will provide information regarding which adults will be dropping off/ collecting on a daily basis. We understand that, at times, these arrangements may change however in order to safeguard pupils, we will not allow them to leave the school site with a different adult without permission from the parent/carer.
In the event of you making arrangements for someone else to collect your child, it is important to notify the school office team who will provide you with a single use password for your friend/ relative to use for collection purposes.
If you wish to make longer term arrangements for the collection of your child, please speak with your child's class teacher or the school office and they will be able to support you.
