At Wheatley we operate a slightly staggered entry and exit process which supports the flow of pupils as they come to and from school. 

Pupils have a 20 minute break in the morning and a 1 hour lunch break. Afternoon sessions begin at 12.45pm for pupils in Reception and 1pm for the rest of the school.

The school does not accept responsibility for children who arrive before 8.35 a.m. and stay after 3.20 p.m. We do ask that children are on time for school which, for the younger children, means that parents must be punctual. Registration takes place 5-10 minutes after the morning session begins.

Collection Arrangements for Pupils

When you enrol your child at Wheatley, you will provide information regarding which adults will be dropping off/ collecting on a daily basis. We understand that, at times, these arrangements may change however in order to safeguard pupils, we will not allow them to leave the school site with a different adult without permission from the parent/carer.

In the event of you making arrangements for someone else to collect your child, it is important to notify the school office team who will provide you with a single use password for your friend/ relative to use for collection purposes.

If you wish to make longer term arrangements for the collection of your child, please speak with your child's class teacher or the school office.
